TASTING NOTES: Bold and intense on the entry, with lively aromatics that captivate the nose. Gorgeous cherry, blackcurrant, cassis, and black fruits lead on the palate but layered with caramel, crushed dried lavender, cooking spices, licorice, and cigar box on the finish. A beautifully elegant style that is both focused yet incredibly balanced. Smooth and silky on the palate with ripe, fine-grained tannins adding great concentration and complexity with a lifting floral bouquet on the finish and acidity that leaves your mouth watering for another sip. Another beautiful mountain gem from the estate at VIADER. Drink over the next 15 years. Age for at least 5-7 years to reach its peak drinking window.

James Suckling: Spanish chocolate, cassis, cigars and some baked olives and red capsicum. A rich and full-bodied red, rounded by firm, nicely chewy tannins at this stage, but will melt down along with the fruit. Long and tight finish. An excellent effort for the vintage.
